The long-awaited new-gen Renault Duster will finally make its India debut tomorrow, 26 January, 2026. The third-gen Duster will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Tata Sierra, Maruti Grand Vitara and others in the mid-sized SUV category. It will initially come with two turbo petrol engines, while a hybrid version is also under development.
The new Duster is already on sale in select international markets, including Brazil, Turkey and South Africa. While India reveal will take place tomorrow, the 2026 Renault Duster is likely to be launched in February-March. The hybrid version will arrive by mid-2026, before Diwali.
The India-spec model looks largely identical to the global-spec model, except for the few Indio-spec changes. In terms of proportions, the new Duster is 4343mm long, 1813mm wide and 1661mm tall. The SUV has a wheelbase of 2657mm, while the ground clearance stands at 217mm. It offers a boot space of 472-litres, which is more than sufficient to carry your weekend bags.
The 2026 Renault Duster is designed and developed on Renault-Nissan Alliance’s CMF-B modular platform, which will also underpin the upcoming Nissan Tekton, 7-seater Duster and Nissan’s 7-seater SUV. This platform has been heavily localised to achieve competitive pricing.
