All-New Hyundai Creta EV Spied Abroad

All-New Hyundai Creta EV was recently spotted in South Korea, generating a buzz about its upcoming release. Based on the Creta Facelift model, this electric vehicle is set to offer an extended range and premium features. Hyundai Motor India plans to launch the Creta EV later this year, pitting it against rivals like the MG ZS EV, Mahindra XUV400, Tata Curvv EV, and Maruti eVX.

Hyundai Creta EV: Exterior Design

The upcoming Hyundai Creta EV shares many design elements with the New Creta, albeit with some notable differences. While the closed-off grille and bumper set it apart, much of the front fascia remains consistent. Some of the standout features will include sleek horizontal LED positioning lamps, DRLs, and front turn signals with a sequential function.

While the side profile remains largely unchanged, expect to see a new set of alloy wheel design. Moving to the rear, it will boast connected LED tail lamps, LED turn signals with a sequential function, and an aerodynamic spoiler housing an LED high-mounted stop lamp.

Hyundai Creta EV: Tech Features

The majority of features found in the Creta Facelift will also be present in the Creta EV. Among the standout equipment will be integrated infotainment and instrument cluster screens, a voice-enabled smart panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a Bose premium sound system, and dual-zone automatic climate control.

Additionally, the electric compact SUV may receive more premium features, possibly sourced from the Hyundai Ioniq 5. A wide array of connectivity options and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) will also be offered with the EV.

Hyundai Creta EV: Powertrain Options

Upcoming Hyundai Creta EV is set to feature a 45 kWh battery pack manufactured by LG Chem, potentially granting it a certified range of approximately 450 kms. However, the real-world range is estimated to be between 250 kms to 300 kms. This motor is capable of producing 138 bhp of maximum power output with 255 Nm of peak torque.

In addition, it will offer fast charging capabilities, enabling users to recharge rapidly within minutes. In terms of performance, the Creta EV will use a single-motor setup mounted on the front axle, similar to the one utilized in the New-Gen Hyundai Kona available in international markets. Further, we expect the details of acceleration, top speed, charging time, and other specifications to be unveiled in due course of time.
