Maruti Suzuki is excited to announce the launch of a next-gen Dzire during this festive season. Ahead of its official launch on November 4, the brand has revealed a few essential details about the updated sedan. It will offer a redesigned exterior, tech-loaded interior, boosted safety features, and an all-new petrol engine.
Take a look at the design, features, and other details about the next-gen Dzire:
With the launch of the new-generation Dzire model, Maruti will present a new design for its exterior. Up front, it will boast a fresh grille with vertically stacked design elements. The LED DRLs and the headlamp clusters will receive a different treatment compared to the regular Dzire. For the new Dzire, Maruti will place the LED DRLs inside the headlamp clusters while the fog lamps will be positioned on the bumper. The side profile of the new Dzire will not receive many changes except for the alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the rear profile will highlight a revised LED tail light setup.
Similar to the latest Swift hatchback, the updated sedan will get a fresh cabin with a premium approach. However, certain switchgear will be shared with the existing Dzire. The cabin will have a dual-tone Black and Beige interior theme. It will have a multilayered dashboard. The seats and upholstery will be made of premium materials.
The 2024 Dzire will boast a redesigned multi-layered dashboard and a free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other noteworthy features include automatic climate control, flat-bottom steering wheel, Type C charging port, semi-digital analogue-digital instrument cluster, and rear AC vents.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire is offered in seven monotone colours including Arctic White, Oxford Blue, Sherwood Brown, Phoenix Red, Bluish Black, Magma Grey, and Splendid Silver. New colour choices are also expected for the updated Dzire.
The 2024 Maruti Dzire will come with better safety compared to the current model. The new sedan will get the segment-first 360-degree camera, six airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, rear parking sensors, and a 3-point seatbelt.
Maruti has not officially announced the platform of the new Dzire. However, it is expected to share Swift's updated Heartech platform.
Apart from the design and features, the next-gen Dzire will get a new Z-Series petrol engine, replacing the current Z12E engine. The new 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol mill was first introduced in the 2024 Swift hatchback. Paired to a 5-speed MT and an AMT, this engine can produce 80 bhp and 112 Nm of torque. Maruti might also offer a CNG variant at a later stage. Speculations suggest that the new Dzire could get hybrid technology in the future.
The current Dzire is available in 9 variants. The base model price starts at Rs 6.56 lakh while the high-end model comes with a price tag of Rs 9.38 lakh (ex-showroom). For the new-gen model, Maruti is expected to increase the price bar by Rs 44,000 to Rs 1.12 lakh (ex-showroom).
