Audi Cars has just unveiled the new Q8 facelift at the 2023 Munich Motor Show. This is the first update for the model since its launch in 2018. Changes are limited to certain cosmetic updates along with new feature additions.

The updates to the 2024 Audi Q8 are subtle. At the front, the SUV gets new HD Matrix LED headlights with additional laser high beam. The headlight unit also features digital DRLs, selectable light signatures with 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode. Other changes include octagonal elements on the grille, ‘L’ shaped inserts and restyled air intakes on the bumper. The SQ8 gets the same changes but gets a contrasting paint shade on the grille.
Moving to the side, the new Audi Q8’s silhouette remains similar apart from the new Audi 2D logo embossed in the B-pillar and 5 new alloy wheel designs. Changes to the rear are also minimal with new digital OLED taillights with four interchangeable light patterns that work in sync with the headlights. The taillights of the all-new Q8 can also light up if vehicles come within 2 metres of it when stationary.

The layout of the facelifted Audi Q8’s interior remains largely unchanged from the outgoing model apart from new colour schemes and upholstery. Audi has added new features though including new built-in third-party apps like Spotify and Amazon Music. Driver assistance systems have been updated as well including a new 360-degree camera, a virtual cockpit that now displays distance, lane change, and other warnings.
Other feature highlights of the Q8 include quad-zone climate control, heated and ventilated front seats with massage functions, twin MMI screens for the infotainment system, four-wheel steering, and a premium audio setup from Bang & Olufsen.
Audi cars will offer the same powertrain options in the facelifted Q8 as the current model globally. This includes a 3-litre turbo diesel that makes 231 bhp with 500 Nm of peak torque or 286 bhp with 600 Nm of max torque. The petrol is a 3-litre turbocharged motor that churns out 340 bhp with 500 Nm of peak torque. An 8-speed tiptronic automatic gearbox is the sole transmission option.
Meanwhile, the sportier SQ8 is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine pumping out 507 bhp with 770 Nm of max torque. It is also mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission.
The German automaker already offers the Q8 in India. Expect the facelifted SUV to arrive in India as CBU imports soon after its global launch. In terms of pricing, the new Q8 will likely be priced slightly higher than the outgoing model’s Rs 1.07 crore (ex-showroom) - Rs 1.43 crore (ex-showroom) price range.
