New Audi Q3 India Launch Expected This Festive Season – Key Details

New Audi Q3 is expected to launch in India during the 2026 festive season. India-spec model is likely to retain the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and Quattro AWD. New Q3 gets OLED tail lamps, a revised cabin and upgraded driver assistance features.

Audi is preparing to introduce the new-generation Q3 in India, with the compact luxury SUV expected to go on sale during the upcoming festive season. The company has released the first teaser of the new Q3, confirming that the model will make its way to the Indian market.

The new Q3 gets a completely redesigned exterior, a more tech-focused cabin and several new features compared to the outgoing SUV. It will continue to compete with the likes of the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

New Audi Q3 Gets Sharper Design

The new-generation Audi Q3 gets a more distinctive exterior compared to the outgoing model. The front features a larger singleframe grille, flanked by sharper headlamps and a more sculpted bonnet. The SUV also gets more pronounced contours along the shoulder section. At the rear, the new Q3 features a full-width lighting element, digital OLED tail lamps and illuminated Audi rings on higher-spec versions. The Matrix LED headlamps are also more advanced, with micro-LED modules. Each daytime running light uses 23 individual segments, allowing Audi to create different lighting signatures.

New Q3 Gets Major Cabin Changes

The interior of the new Audi Q3 has received a much more comprehensive update. One of the biggest changes is the repositioning of the gear selector. Instead of being placed on the centre console, the gear selector is now mounted on the steering column. This frees up additional space between the front seats for storage. A second stalk on the steering column controls the lighting and wipers, while the dashboard design has been brought closer to Audi's latest global models. The new Q3 also gets acoustic front glass to reduce road and wind noise, along with an updated digital interface.

More Space and Practicality

Audi has also improved the Q3's practicality. The SUV offers 488 litres of luggage space in its standard configuration, while folding the rear seats increases the capacity to 1,386 litres. The second-row seats can slide forwards and backwards, while adjustable backrests are offered as standard. Audi has also increased the towing capacity to up to 2,100kg, depending on the selected configuration.

India-Spec Audi Q3 Powertrain

The India-spec Q3 is expected to retain the familiar 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. It is expected to produce around 204hp and 320Nm of torque. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission is likely to continue, with power being sent to all four wheels through Audi's Quattro all-wheel-drive system. Internationally, the new Q3 is available with a wider range of powertrains. This includes a plug-in hybrid setup using a 25.7kWh battery, which offers up to 119km of WLTP-rated electric range. The PHEV can also support DC charging at up to 50kW. Other global versions are offered with four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, along with mild-hybrid technology.

New Q3 Gets More Driver Assistance Features

The new Audi Q3 also receives several technology and safety upgrades. Its suspension can be specified with standard, sport and two-valve damper setups. An interior camera can monitor the driver for signs of fatigue or distraction. Adaptive cruise control and lane assistance systems have also been upgraded. The SUV's parking system can remember complex parking manoeuvres and repeat them later. A reverse assist function can also retrace the vehicle's recent path, which could be useful when exiting tight spaces.
