BMW India has launched the the 7th-generation M5 in the market. Starting at Rs 1.99 crore (ex-showroom), the performance sedan will be brought here through a CBU route.
From the design perspective, the new M5 features signature kidney grille, adaptive LED headlamps, blacked-out ORVMs, chunky wheel arches, M-High Gloss shadow line, rear spoiler, twin exhaust pines, and diffuser. It is also available with 20-inch and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Other features include 2-spoke flat bottom leather steering wheel, M-spec multifunction seats, curved display, 18-speaker B&W music system, adaptive suspensions, live cockpit professional, BMW 8.5 OS, and ADAS suite.
The 2024 M5 sedan is powered by a 4.4-litre, twin-turbo V8 engine mated with a M Hybrid system.The combined power output stands at 717 bhp and 1000 Nm. The combustion unit can deliver 577 bhp/750 Nm while the electric variant can produce 194 bhp/280 Nm. The engine is mated with a 8-speed automatic transmission and the xDrive AWD system. Its 18.6 kWh battery pack offer a range of up to 69 km. The new-gen M5 can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds. It can offer the top speed of 305 kmph with M Driver's package while in the electric mode, it can reach 140 kmph of top speed.
