BMW India is ready to launch its performance-oriented version of X3, called the M40i xDrive. The company has started accepting bookings of the SUV ahead of its launch slated for May 2023. It should be noted that the variant will be sold in limited numbers. Interested candidates can book their new X3 M40i xDrive by paying a token amount of Rs 5 lakh via BMW Online Shop.

From the outside, the X3 M40i xDrive will feature aggressively designed front and rear bumpers. In addition, it will have an M-specific kidney grille, larger air vents, ORVMs, and 19-inch alloy wheels. Some notable features of the SUV will include M Sport brakes, M Sport differential, adaptive M suspension, and xDrive all-wheel drive system. Besides, the customers will also have the option to choose 20-inch M-light alloy wheels. The vehicle will be offered in two colour options. These include Brooklyn Grey and Black Sapphire.

On the inside, it will come equipped with a Sensatec Black interior theme and carbon fibre trims all around. In addition, the SUV will feature a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch fully digital instrument console, and horizontal AC vents.
Under the hood, the 2023 X3 M40i xDrive will come powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine. The motor will be capable of generating 335 bhp of power output with 500 Nm of peak torque. Mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission, the SUV is said to sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in just 4.9 seconds. The top speed of the soft-roader is set at around 250 kmph.
