French automaker Citroen has finally announced the prices of the C3 automatic in the Indian market. This comes after a month after the brand has announced a significant feature upgrade for the Citroen C3 hatchback. This automatic gearbox is available in the top-spec C3 Shine variant. The Citroen C3 automatic is available in the price bracket of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10.27 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Citroen C3 Turbo Automatic is available in 4 variants - Shine, Shine Vibe Pack, Shine Dual Tone and Shine Dual Tone Vibe Pack. The dual-tone variants are offered with a two-tone exterior finish. The Vibe pack brings in few cosmetic changes to the C3 automatic. The C3 AT Shine is priced at Rs 10 lakh, while the C3 Shine Vibe Pack is tagged at Rs 10.12 lakh. The dual-tone variants of the Shine and Shine Vibe are priced at Rs 10.15 lakh and Rs 10.27 lakh, respectively.
The new automatic variants of the C3 Turbo costs around Rs 85,000 more than the equivalent manual versions. In terms of features, the Citroen C3 Turbo automatic comes with LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, electrically adjustable ORVMs with integrated blinkers, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, and a 7-inch digital driver's display. It comes with 6 airbags and connected car tech via the MyCitroen Connect smartphone application.
The Citroen C3 is powered by the 1.2-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that also powers the Basalt and the C3 Aircross. This engine churns out a maximum power output of 108bhp and 205Nm of torque. It is paired to a 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox. In the manual avatar, the torque output drops to 195Nm.
In terms of pricing, the Citroen C3 Turbo Automatic is Positioned right between the Tata Punch and the Hyundai Exter. However, the Punch and Exter are offered with a 5-speed automated manual transmission, while the C3 Turbo gets a more sophisticated 6-speed torque convertor automatic gearbox.
