Kia Motors India has launched a 6-speed manual transmission option to its popular SUV, the Seltos Facelift. When introduced last year, it did not receive this transmission option for the 1.5-litre diesel engine. But, with the increasing demand from customers who like driving a manual gearbox, the Korean has added a new manual variant priced at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The manual transmission is featured in 5 trims for the New Seltos diesel variants namely HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. With this recent addition, Kia stands out by offering the most transmission choices for a diesel model among all Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
Additionally, the Seltos Facelift diesel variants still offer the Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT) in mid-variants and a 7-speed automatic option in the top-end trim.
The Seltos diesel comes equipped with a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that delivers an impressive power output of 113 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque. This particular powertrain offers multiple transmission options, allowing you to choose between a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.
If you prefer a petrol engine, the SUV offers two distinct choices. You can opt for the 157 bhp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine or the efficient 113 bhp, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol mill.
The brand has strategically set the prices for these variants between Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 18.27 lakh (ex-showroom), ensuring a competitive position in the compact SUV segment. Here is the detailed ex-showroom price for each variant:
HTE - Rs 11.99 lakh
HTK - Rs 13.59 lakh
HTK+ - Rs 14.99 lakh
HTX - Rs 16.67 lakh
HTX+ - Rs 18.27 lakh
