Mahindra Thar Roxx made its impactful entry this month with a starting price of Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The 5-door Thar is available in six distinct variants, namely MX1, MX3, MX5, AX3L, AX5L, and AX7L. Price for its top model stands at Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom). However, the prices of its diesel 4X4 variants are yet to be announced.

The homegrown automaker has announced that the customer test drives for the bigger Thar Roxx will start from September 14 onwards. Bookings for the SUV will open from October 3 while its deliveries are set to begin from October 12. Prices for the 4x4 models can also be announced on the same day of its bookings commencement.

Mahindra offers a range of tech and safety features. It comes with a 10.25-inch bigger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Other noteworthy features comprise a 10.25-inch digital instrument console, wireless phone charging, adjustable headrests for all five passengers, automatic climate control, 6-way powered driver's seat & recline function for the second row, and more.
Safety is ensured by six airbags as standard, reverse camera, front & rear parking sensors, TPMS, auto-dimming IRVM, ABS with EBD, and more.
Mahindra Thar Roxx takes power from two engines. It gets a 2.0-litre mStallion turbo petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit. Transmission choices include either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. The gasoline unit offers two states of tunes - 160bhp/330Nm and 175bhp/380Nm. The diesel unit also comes in two states of tune 150bhp/350Nm and 172bhp/370Nm.
