Mahindra has launched the XEV 9S, a new electric 7-seater SUV, with prices starting at Rs 19.95 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level Pack One Above variant. The XEV 9S is the first dedicated mass-market 3-row electric SUV from Mahindra, and it offers a choice of battery options and trims to suit different needs.
Here's a breakdown of the XEV 9S's battery options, trims, and the range it offers.

Mahindra XEV 9S comes with three battery options - 59kWh, 70kWh, and 79kWh. The 59kWh battery variant offers a range of 521 km, while the 70kWh variant provides 600 km. The 79kWh battery option offers the longest range of 679 km, making it a strong choice for those who prioritize longer trips.
All variants support fast charging of up to 175kW, allowing for quick charging times. The range of each variant has been certified by ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India).
For home charging, Mahindra offers two options - a 7.2kW charger priced at Rs 50,000 and an 11.2kW charger priced at Rs 75,000. With fast charging support, the XEV 9S is ready for long-distance travel, allowing you to quickly get back on the road.

Pack Two Above 70kWh: Priced at Rs 24.45 lakh with a range of 600 km.

These prices are ex-showroom India.
The XEV 9S offers impressive performance with a 0-100 kmph time of just 7 seconds for the more powerful variants. The top speed of the XEV 9S is 202 kmph, making it a quick and efficient electric SUV for Indian roads.
Mahindra XEV 9S stands alone in the 3-row electric SUV space, as it is the first mass-market electric SUV of this size. While there are other electric vehicles in India, like the Kia Carens Clavis EV and BYD eMax 7, they are MPVs and don't offer the same SUV experience as the XEV 9S. Prices for the XEV 9S overlap with the Tata Harrier EV, but the XEV 9S offers the added advantage of being the first 7-seater electric SUV in the market.
