Mahindra XUV 3XO was recently launched as a facelift version of the XUV300. Priced at Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the XUV 3XO competes with the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and Tata Nexon. Bookings for the model will open online from 15 May. Interested customers can book their new car at the dealerships. Deliveries will begin from 26 May.
In the sub-4 meter SUV segment, about 60 percent of models are being sold with gasoline engines and 35 percent for diesel powertrains. With the introduction of the new XUV 3XO, the company is planning to be among the top two players in the compact SUV segment in the next 3 years.
According to a recent report, the new XUV 3XO will be manufactured on the same production line as the XUV400 EV at Mahindra's Nashik facility. It is said that the automaker aims to make 9,000 units every month. Later, it can be increased to 10,500 units per month with a small investment.
The XUV 3XO continues with its 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, a 1.2-litre TGDi turbo-petrol engine, and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. As for the transmission options, both petrol engines get the 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, while the diesel continues with its 6-speed AMT unit.
