Rumoured to be called the Victoris (Escudo), the upcoming Maruti Suzuki midsize SUV will be exclusively sold through NEXA premium dealership network. The Escudo will be powered by a tried & tested 102bhp, 1.5L, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated mild hybrid petrol engine paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The automatic version could also get an AWD set-up. In the CNG mode, the same powertrain offers 88bhp of power.
The new Maruti Suzuki Victoris (Escudo) will get the 116bhp, 1.5L TNGA petrol-electric hybrid engine, which currently powers the Grand Vitara Hybrid and offers 27.97kmpl of mileage.
The upcoming Maruti Suzuki Victoris (Escudo) is likely to be equipped with several high-end comfort and convenience features, including a powered tailgate and Dolby Atmos audio technology for an immersive sound experience. It could be the first Maruti product to get LEVEL 2 ADAS tech with features like autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane assist, auto high beam and others. The Majority of the changes will be made inside the cabin, as it will get several advanced tech and safety features. The new Venue is likely to get dual 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment and driver’s display, a new steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, and ventilated front and rear seats with sliding and reclining function. The SUV will come with 6 airbags as standard, a 360-degree surround view camera, ESP, hill launch assist and LEVEL 2 ADAS tech.
