The wait is over; Maruti Suzuki has finally launched the facelift of its premium MPV, the XL6, in India. The 6-seater MPV price now starts at Rs 11.29 lakhs and extends all the way up to Rs 14.55 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Following the footsteps of Ertiga Facelift, Maruti Suzuki has updated its premium MPV, the XL6, with a minor model change to bring it up to speed for the year 2022. That said, a key change in the vehicle is the introduction of a new powertrain that gets a new 6-speed automatic gearbox.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Variants and Pricing:
The automaker has stuck to its core value of offering crafted Indulgence with the updated XL6. Following this philosophy, the company continues to provide the XL6 Facelift in the Zeta and Alpha trims only. The top-of-the-line Alpha+ trim is a new addition to the XL6’s variant line-up. Here is breakdown of its price alongside respective variants as reference.

The company is also offering a subscription service for its customers at a fixed amount of Rs 25,000 per month.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Exterior Updates:
The MPV carries forward the ‘Crafted Futurism’ design language that underpins all Nexa models but adds certain masculine elements to its exterior. Compared to the previous iteration, the XL6 Facelift features a new bold front grille with a sweeping ‘X-bar’ element, quad chamber LED headlamps with LED DRLs, new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels and a pair of new smoked 3D LED tail lamps.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Interior Upgrades:
This vehicle now comes equipped with premium features to justify its expensive price tag. Bringing it up to speed, Maruti offers ventilated seats with three-speed control, a 360 - degree reverse camera, an updated 7-inch SmartPlay Pro touchscreen infotainment system and an in-built Suzuki Connect technology with ‘Hi Suzuki’ command. In addition, the car continues to provide comfort features like captain seats in the 2nd row and reclining 3rd-row seats along with air-cooled cup holders, a front-row center armrest with utility box, smartphone storage, bottle holders and an option of a power socket in each row.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Safety Equipment:
The XL6 continues to be built on the signature HEARTECT Platform. But the carmaker has put in efforts to improve the safety on the inside with quad airbags, ESP, Hill-Hold Assist and a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System.
2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Powertrain Option:
Maruti is offering the XL6 Facelift with an updated 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine featuring Smart Hybrid Technology that produces the same power output of 100 bhp and 136 Nm of peak torque. Customers can opt between a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission that offers paddle shifters. The highly optimised engine and the availability of 2 extra gears help the MPV achieve a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.9 kmpl.

2022 Maruti Suzuki XL6 Facelift Colour Option:
It is now available in 9 different colour options that include 6 monotone and 3 dual-tone choices. The monotone colours are Nexa Blue, Artic white, Splendid Silver, Grandeur Grey, and Brave Khaki. Customers can also choose from Splendid Silver, Brave Khaki and the Opulent Red colours with a black roof for a floating roof effect.
So, does the so-called All-New Maruti Suzuki XL6 appeal to you? Do you think this 6-seater can be a better option over the Kia Carens and the Ertiga? Do let us know.
