JSW MG Motor India has shared that the Windsor electric car has sold more than 27,000 units across India in just eight months. Since its launch, the Windsor has become the country’s best-selling electric vehicle. It continues to grow fast and shows MG’s strong position in the electric vehicle market.
The new version, called Windsor EV PRO, was launched in May 2025. It received a huge response, with 8,000 bookings made within 24 hours. This model comes with a bigger battery, more features, and better safety, making it even more attractive to buyers.
While the Windsor is doing well in big cities, it is also popular in smaller towns. Almost 48 percent of the total sales come from non-metro cities. This shows that people in smaller towns are also choosing electric cars and that MG Windsor is helping grow EV use across India.
MG Windsor has won more than 30 awards, including the Green Car Award 2025 by iCOTY. These awards prove that it is not only popular with customers but also praised by experts for being eco-friendly and innovative.
The Windsor offers a mix of comfort like a sedan and space like an SUV. It gives a power output of 134 bhp and 200 Nm torque, making it smooth and strong to drive. It also comes at an affordable starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh (Battery-as-a-Service), plus Rs 3.9/km.
The Windsor comes with a modern ‘AeroGlide’ design and a stylish look. Inside, it has 135-degree recliner ‘Aero Lounge’ seats for extra comfort. It also includes a large 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touchscreen that offers an easy and smart way to control the car.
