MG Windsor EV Finds 7 Out of 10 Buyers in Smaller Cities

JSW MG Motor India has revealed that the EV adoption in non-metro cities is gaining rapid traction, driven by rising awareness and the cost-benefits of owning an EV. In fact, MG Windsor EV has recorded 70 percent of its total sales from non-metro cities. 

JSW MG Motor India has sold nearly 65,000 units of the Windsor EV to date. The company claims that even first time car buyers are buying the electric vehicle, thanks to its strong value proposition. In a statement, MG claims that “These buyers (Non Metro Cities) have appreciated its exceptional ‘ABC’ combination – the price of an A-segment vehicle, paired with the exterior dimensions of a B-segment car and the interior space of the C-segment vehicle.”

MG Windsor EV offers a spacious cabin, intelligent features and a clean, efficient powertrain. The company claims that the electric vehicle combines the expanse of a sedan and the versatility of an SUV.  Offered with a starting BaaS price of INR 9.99L + INR 3.9/kms*, it delivers 100 KW (136ps) of power and 200Nm of torque. 

The electric model comes with two battery pack options, including a 38kWh and a 52.9kWh. While the former offers a range of 332km, the bigger battery is claimed to offer an impressive range of 449km. Additionally, the MG Windsor comes with a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner and a 3-60 assured buyback plan, offering customers greater peace of mind.
 

The Windsor comes equipped with Aero Lounge seats reclinable to 135 degrees, a massive 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW touch display, and a fixed glass roof.
