The much-anticipated MG Windsor EV will be launched in the Indian market on September 11, 2024. Ahead of its launch, MG Motor India has released multiple teasers showcasing its unique features and its test rounds through rough terrains. A new teaser reveals the central console of the new MG CUV, which houses the segment-largest touchscreen infotainment unit.

It is no secret that the MG Windsor EV is the re-badged version of the Wuling Cloud EV, which is on sale in select international markets. Called the Crossover Utility Vehicle or CUV, the new model shares most of its features with the Cloud EV. The teaser confirms that the electric CUV will come equipped with a segment-leading 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Called the Grandview display, the new touchscreen infotainment unit is the largest among the current MG cars on sale in our market. In fact, it is the largest screen available in its category. The teaser video also reveals that the electric SUV has a clean dashboard design with few buttons. Most of the functions will be controlled via the large touchscreen infotainment unit.
The teaser also confirms that the electric SUV will have features like 360-degree camera, blind spot monitoring, ambient lighting, a digital color instrument panel, twin-spoke steering wheel, cruise control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, cruise control and others.

The previous teasers reveal that the MG Windsor EV will have a full width panoramic glass roof, which appears similar to the one offered on the Hyundai Ioniq 5 electric SUV. The panoramic sunroof covers the roof, which would give the MG Windsor's cabin an airy feel. It will also come with India's first Aero-lounge seats with 35 degree recline. The crossover UV gets all-black leatherette seats with headrests for all 3 occupants in the second-row.
The digital instrument console also reveals that the Windsor EV will have ADAS functionality. It will come with Level 2 ADAS suite with features like adaptive cruise control, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, auto high beam, blind spot monitoring and others. Other safety features will include 6 airbags, ESC, hill hold control, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and others.
In the global markets, the Cloud EV is available with two battery packs - a 37.9kWh and 50.6kWh - paired with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. While the former is claimed to offer a range of 360km, the later offers 460km on a full charge. The India-spec model is likely to come with a bigger battery pack and could offer a certified range of over 500km on a single charge.
