MG Windsor EV & Thar Roxx deliveries begin Mahindra following first-come-first serve formula Windsor EV is available with BaaS program
Deliveries of the two newly launched hot cars, the MG Windsor EV and Mahindra Thar Roxx, have finally been commenced across India. Both utility vehicles have received an overwhelming response from car buyers. In fact, MG Windsor EV clocked over 15,000 pre-bookings on the first day - making it the first electric vehicle in our market to receive such numbers in single day.
On the other side, the Mahindra Thar Roxx shattered all records. The SUV has registered an unprecedented 1,76,218 bookings within the first hour of its launch. The Thar Roxx already commands a waiting period of over 1 year. Demand is so high and to meet the rising interest, Mahindra has to revise its plans and aims to increase its production capacity.

JSW MG Motor India has introduced an exciting pricing strategy where customers can buy Windsor EV with battery or battery as a subscription/rental. Called BaaS (Battery as a Service), MG is offering battery rental scheme that turns into a very competitive ex-showroom price of Windsor EV. In fact, MG has extended this BaaS scheme with the Comet and ZS EV.
MG Motor India has also introduced "Live Business Class" campaign along with a new TVC showing Windsor EV as the most comfortable electric vehicle in its class. This electric vehicle starts at Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) with BaaS and Rs 13.5 lakh without BaaS scheme. MG is also offering one year free charging for Windsor EV buyers. Adding to it, the EV comes with comprehensive warranty and buyback plans.
Some of the key features include 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay, digital instrument console, electrically adjustable front seats, Aero-lounge seats with 135-degree recline, Glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, six airbags, 360-degree camera and electronic parking brake with auto hold. It is packed with a 38kWh Li-ion battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor rated at 136PS, and offers 200Nm of torque. It is claimed to offer a certified range of 322km on a single charge.

To ensure smooth deliveries, Mahindra has followed the first-come-first serve formula which was earlier used in delivering XUV700 and Scorpio-N. Customers are being informed of their delivery schedules in a phased manner to eliminate any kind of confusion. The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in the price bracket of Rs 12.99 lakh to Rs 22.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Thar Roxx is available with two powertrain options - a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel. The petrol engine offers two states of tunes - 162hp and 330Nm with manual gearbox, and 177hp and 380Nm with automatic gearbox. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and an optional 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The diesel engine produces 175bhp and 370Nm with 4x4 drivetrain. The same powertrain with 4x2 version delivers 152hp and 330Nm of torque.
