MG Motor India had opened bookings for the Windsor EV on Thursday 3, 2024. The electric CUV has received an overwhelming response from buyers. Within 24 hours, the company has received a total of bookings of 15,176 units. MG Windsor EV becomes India's first passenger electric vehicle to achieve such a feat.
The Windsor EV is marketed as a crossover utility vehicle (CUV), as it is claimed to offer the comfort of a sedan and the expanse of an SUV. The electric car is available at an attractive starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh + Rs 3.5/km, under the BaaS program. The MG Windsor EV is available in 3 variants - Excite, Exclusive and Essence - priced between Rs 13.49 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom). These prices include the battery rental as well.
The MG Windsor EV is packed with a 38kWh Li-ion battery pack with a front-axle-mounted electric motor. It is claimed to offer 136PS of power and 200Nm of torque. The electric CUV offers four driving modes - Eco+, Eco, Normal and Sport. It is claimed to offer a certified range of 322km on a single charge.
The Windsor EV is offered in 4 colour options - Starbust Black, Pearl White, Turquoise Green and Clay Beige. MG Motor India is offering a lifetime battery warranty, one-year free charging at public chargers through the eHUB by MG app, assured 60% buyback after 3 years/45,000kms and others.
