Mini is ready to launch its new performance SUV, the Mini Countryman John Cooper Works (JCW), in India on October 14, 2025. This will be the only petrol-powered variant in the Countryman lineup for the Indian market, as the brand continues to expand both combustion and electric models.
Customers can book the new Mini Countryman JCW starting September 22, 2025, through Mini India’s official website and dealerships across the country.

Mini Countryman JCW comes with a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine producing 300hp and 400Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed DCT gearbox with AWD as standard. The SUV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it a true performance machine.
The JCW version gets several updates over the standard Countryman. It features:
- A blacked-out front grille with Mini’s chequered-flag design
- Larger air intakes with red accents
- JCW-specific alloy wheels and red brake calipers
- JCW badging on the C-pillar
- A sporty rear bumper, roof spoiler, and quad exhaust tips
Inside, the Countryman JCW carries a sporty theme with:
- JCW-specific dashboard design and red accents
- Ambient lighting and red contrast stitching
- Sporty pedals and unique JCW graphics for the infotainment system
While official pricing will be revealed at launch, the Mini Countryman JCW price in India is expected to be around Rs 70 lakh (ex-showroom). Considering the electric Countryman JCW was limited to just 20 units earlier, it remains to be seen how many petrol JCWs will be available in India.
Currently, Mini sells only the Countryman Electric in India, powered by a 201hp motor and offering a claimed range of 462 km (WLTP). The JCW petrol variant adds a new dimension for enthusiasts looking for speed, style, and exclusivity in a luxury SUV.
