Mini Countryman petrol launch expected next month. Gets 1.5L and 2.0L engines with AWD option. Expected price: Rs 40-45 lakh with local assembly.
Mini Countryman lineup currently includes a sporty JCW version and an all-electric model. Now, Mini is adding a standard petrol version to the range.
This new model is expected to launch in India next month, bringing back the regular Countryman badge after a long gap.
The new Countryman follows the same design as its global versions. It gets modern headlights, stylish tail lamps, and new alloy wheels.
Inside, the cabin looks clean and premium. It features a round central touchscreen, a three-spoke steering wheel, and a dashboard made using recycled materials.
It is also the largest Mini ever, measuring about 4.4 metres in length with a 2.6-metre wheelbase, offering more space for passengers.

The SUV is expected in two variants - Classic and S All4.
The Classic version will get a 1.5-litre petrol engine producing around 170bhp, while the S All4 will use a 2.0-litre petrol engine producing about 200bhp.
Both variants will come with a 7-speed automatic gearbox, and the top variant will also offer an all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.
The new Countryman petrol is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 45 lakh (ex-showroom). It will likely be assembled locally at BMW’s Chennai plant, which can help keep prices competitive.
In terms of rivals, it will sit close to SUVs like the Toyota Fortuner, Volkswagen Tayron R-Line, and Skoda Kodiaq, while also overlapping with premium SUVs like the Audi Q3 and BMW X1.
Despite this, the Countryman stands out with its unique design and Mini identity.
