Suzuki is all set to bring the next-gen Swift Sport in 2026. This performance-focused hatchback has been a fan favourite for years, known for its peppy engine and sporty handling. The upcoming model will replace the current third-gen Swift Sport, which is on sale as the ZC33S Final Edition. This final edition will be available until November 2025.
Before the official launch, Suzuki might unveil the new Swift Sport at the Japan Mobility Show in October 2025. The upcoming model is expected to carry forward its fun-to-drive DNA while offering modern tech and updated styling.
Under the hood, the new-gen Swift Sport is likely to get an improved version of the existing 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine, paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. The current version delivers 138 hp in Japan and 127 hp in Europe. The updated engine may offer similar or slightly better performance figures, depending on market-specific tuning.
On the design front, expect race-inspired looks with aggressive bumpers, sporty alloy wheels, and a low-slung stance that sets it apart from the regular Swift.
As of now, there is no confirmation on whether Suzuki will launch the new-gen Swift Sport hatchback in the Indian market. Given the niche demand and cost-sensitive nature of the segment in India, its arrival seems unlikely in the near future.
Still, enthusiasts in India can hope that the global buzz around affordable performance cars may eventually lead to exciting options in the domestic market too.
