New Maruti ARENA SUV launch on September 3, 2025 It is expected to be positioned between Brezza and Grand Vitara Could be called the Escudo or Maruti Victoris Estimated to be priced around Rs 10.5 lakh - 18.5 lakh
Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch an all-new midsize SUV on September 3, 2025. The company hasn’t revealed the name of the new SUV, but it is rumoured to be either called the Maruti Escudo or Victoris. This SUV will be retailed through over 3,000 ARENA dealerships as a flagship model.

The new Maruti ARENA SUV will be positioned right between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, in terms of pricing. This SUV will come as a more accessible alternative to the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos or even Maruti Grand Vitara.
The Brezza SUV is available in the price bracket of Rs 8.69 lakh to Rs 14.14 lakh, while the Maruti Grand Vitara is priced between Rs 11.42 lak and Rs 20.68 lakh. The new Maruti Escudo or Victoris will cost somewhere between, and its entry-level and mid-level variants could impact the sales of high-end Brezza models. On the other hand, the mid-level and high-end variants will lead to cannibalisation with the Maruti Grand Vitara’s mid-level variants.
We expect the new Maruti ARENA SUV price in India is expected to start at Rs 10.5 lakh and extends up to Rs 18.5 lakh. MSIL will be aiming at buyers who want to drive home a new midsize SUV, but not considering Creta, Seltos or even NEXA-only Grand Vitara.
Bigger boot
LEVEL-2 ADAS
Underbody CNG Tank
Powered tailgate
Dolby Atmos sound system
AWD option
Bigger infotainment unit
The new Maruti ARENA SUV is reportedly to be longer than the Grand Vitara, which is 4345mm long. The SUV could be around 4.4-4.5 meters in length, which will allow MSIL engineers to create more space in the boot. The Grand Vitara offers a boot space of 373-litres, which is one of the lowest in its category. It drops to 265-litres with a strong hybrid engine.
The new Maruti SUV is expected to offer a bigger boot, even with the CNG option. If media reports are to be believed, the new ARENA-only SUV will come with an underbody CNG tank to free up space in the boot. It is also reportedly to get LEVEL 2 ADAS, powered tailgate, AWD option, a bigger infotainment unit and DOLBY ATMOS sound system.
The new ARENA SUV is likely to share the engine options with the Grand Vitara. It will get the tried & tested 102hp, 1.5L NA petrol with a mild-hybrid tech, and a 1.5L TNGA strong hybrid engine, and a factory-fitted CNG option. The NA petrol engine is expected to come with an AWD drivetrain.
