New Mercedes CLA EV Revealed - 792 km Range, Bookings Open in March 2026

Mercedes Benz India has reintroduced the CLA 4-Door Coupe Sedan, now with an all-electric powertrain. After being discontinued in 2020, the CLA is back as a fully electric model. The new 2026 Mercedes CLA EV will be available for bookings starting in March 2026. Here’s everything you need to know.

Electric Powertrain and Performance

The 2026 CLA EV will come in the CLA 250+ AMG Line variant. It features a 85.5 kWh battery that gives it a range of up to 792 km on a single charge. The car is powered by a 268 bhp electric motor that drives the rear wheels. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds, offering solid performance along with good range.

Aerodynamic Design

The new CLA EV maintains the coupe-style design, with a low drag coefficient of 0.21 Cd. It comes with frameless windows, flush door handles, and a sloping roofline. The front of the car features connected LED DRLs and adaptive headlights, along with a large 3-pointed Star grille. The car also has 18-inch AMG wheels and a sleek rear end with LED tail lights.

Interior Features

Inside, the CLA 250+ AMG Line offers a modern and comfortable cabin. It has a 14-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The front seats are heated, adjustable, and offer thigh support for added comfort. The cabin also includes a Burmester sound system, a floating center console, and turbine-like AC vents for a more stylish look.

Storage and Practicality

The 2026 CLA EV offers practical storage with a 400L boot and an additional 100L of storage under the bonnet. It also comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ensuring that the tech experience is seamless.

Pricing and Availability

The 2026 CLA EV will be available in three main colors: Polar White, Cosmic Black, and Clear Blue. Mercedes is also offering two additional colors through its Manufaktur program: Patagonia Red and Alpine Grey. The car will be imported as a CBU model but is expected to be priced competitively.
