Nissan is all set to introduce a new budget-friendly MPV in India, and it’s expected to be one of the most affordable models in the segment. The company has confirmed that the India-focused MPV will be unveiled on December 18, 2025. Here’s a look at what to expect from this new Nissan MPV launch.

Nissan's upcoming MPV is likely to share its platform with the Renault Triber, which means it will have a similar body structure. However, the design will be unique, with key features like a distinctive radiator grille, redesigned bumpers, and updated headlamps and tail lamps. Nissan will also add its own touch with new 15-inch alloy wheels and a selection of different paint options.
Though Nissan hasn’t fully revealed the interior details yet, we expect the MPV to offer a spacious and practical cabin. The layout will likely be a 2+3+2 configuration, with sliding, reclining, and foldable second-row seats, along with removable third-row seats for extra boot space when needed. The MPV will feature an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7-inch driver display, and a wireless phone charger.
In terms of safety, the new MPV will be well-equipped, offering features like front and rear parking sensors, a reverse camera, six airbags, ESC, Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Traction Control System (TCS).
Under the hood, it will be powered by a 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 71 hp and 96 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission (AMT).
The Nissan MPV is set to be an affordable and practical choice for families. While it shares many features with the Renault Triber, it will stand out with its distinctive design and additional features, making it a strong competitor in the budget MPV segment.
