All New Skoda Slavia was recently launched at a starting price of Rs 10.69 lakhs (ex-showroom). Here is ‘All You Need To Know’ about the 2022 New Skoda Slavia.
Following the successful launch of the KUSHAQ, the Czech carmaker Skoda, has targeted the traditional stronghold of premium sedans in India. Following the footsteps of its ancestor, Skoda Octavia or as moto vloggers are calling it, Mini Octy, the SLAVIA features a contemporary and dynamic design with crystalline accents, making it a trademark SKODA for the twenty-first century. It will be made available in three trims – Active, Ambition and Style with prices starting at Rs 10.69 lakhs and going up to Rs 15.39 lakhs for the top-spec trim. The Skoda Slavia will compete in the market against the Honda City and Hyundai Verna, as well as its impending brother, the Volkswagen Virtus, when it launches in the coming weeks.
New Skoda Slavia Price and Variants
2022 New Skoda Slavia comes in 3 variants namely Active, Ambition and Style. The trim wise break-up of the model is given below as reference:
Model | 1.0 TSI (MT) | 1.0 TSI (AT) |
Active | 10,69,000 | - |
Ambition | 12,39,000 | 13,59,000 |
Style (Non-Sunroof Version) | 13,59,000 | - |
Style | 13,99,000 | 15,39,000 |
The New Skoda Slavia has evolved and highlights the lustre of athletic elegance. Bringing it to life is the provocative new front grille pattern and elegantly designed LED headlamps for striking illumination. There is an influence of Skoda Fabia in the face, with sharp cuts on the bumper and a splash of chrome on the fog lamp housing. The L- shaped DRLs are seamlessly connected with the bold hexagonal Skoda chrome grille, which additionally underlines the breadth of the vehicle and generates a remarkable elegance. In the front, a daring guise announces its arrival, while it’s robust character lines bend toward its dramatic exit. C Shaped LED tail lamps, chrome touch on the bumpers and the Skoda lettering on the back, highlight the rear optics of the vehicle, causing it to appear even more progressive. Skoda’s ‘crystalline’ design theme means the Slavia walks the tightrope between Active, Ambition and Style quite well.
New Skoda Slavia Exterior Design
Slavia is based on the Volkswagen Group’s localised MQB-A0-IN platform (same as the Kushaq) and is noticeably larger than the Rapid it replaces. In fact, at 4,541mm long, 1,752mm wide, 1,487mm tall and with a wheelbase of 2,651mm, the Slavia is one of the largest models in the segment with a ground clearance of 179mm (unladen) which is perfect for Indian road conditions.
New Skoda Slavia Interior
Skoda, with the New Slavia, gives a driver-centric cabin experience, enhanced by an all-new 10-inch touchscreen system and innovations like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, My Skoda Connect, wireless Smart link and Skoda Play Apps compatibility in the top trim. The company is offering class-leading audio with an 8 speaker sound system and ambient lighting making every element of the Slavia sublime, transcending convenience into luxury. Available ventilated front and climate control with air care function further heighten comfort levels.
Simple and straightforward interior design with round air vents, the bronze character line cleaving the dashboard, and the free-floating touchscreen are indistinguishable from the global Fabia. The cross-hatch design on the dash, the silky finish on the bronze and piano black accents, and the geometrical details under the touchscreen and door pads are elegantly executed. Skoda has also carried over the Kushaq's 'Simply Clever' touches. This includes a magazine-holding elastic thread in the door pockets, rubberized cup holder mats, handy phone pockets behind the front seats and reflectors in the doors to warn other road users when the doors are opened.
New Skoda Slavia Engine Options
Skoda Auto is offering the Slavia with two turbo-petrol engines, a 115hp, 175Nm, 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI engine, which is paired to either a 6-speed torque convertor automatic transmission and 6 speed manual transmission, reserved for the 1.0L TSI variants, and a 148hp, 250 Nm, 1.5-litre, four-cylinder TSI engine with 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
New Skoda Slavia Safety Features
Skoda Slavia features a new and robust suite of standard, active and passive safety systems. These include ESC, 6 airbags, Electronic Differential System (EDS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill Hold Control, a rear parking camera and more.
New Skoda Slavia Colour Options
Colour Options provided in 2022 Skoda Slavia comprise two new exclusive paint shades namely Crystal Blue & Tornado Red with Candy White, Brilliant Silver and Carbon Steel being part of the list.
