Mahindra will launch its all-new Born Electric range next year The BE.05 electric SUV to arrive by October 2025 It will be positioned above the XUV 400
After the successful launch of Thar Roxx, Mahindra is now planning to introduce its all-new Born Electric (BE) range in the Indian market. This BE range will include three fully electric SUVs - the BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. These eSUVs will be based on the INGLO platform. Two more Mahindra EVs (XUV.e8 and XUV.e9) will be based on this new electric skateboard platform. Out of these new Mahindra electric SUVs, the Be.05 will be the first one to mark its entry into the Indian market by early 2025.
Get more insights on its design language, features, battery, range, and more.
The upcoming BE.05 electric SUV will measure 4370 mm in length, 1900 mm in width, and 1635 mm in height. It will have a wheelbase of 2775 mm.
From the outside, the BE.05 will have an aggressive and muscular visual appeal. Some of its exterior design elements include C-shaped LED DRLs, twin roof spoiler, and C-shaped connected tail lights. Inside the cabin, we will get to see the all-black theme with silver accents. The feature list will comprise a floating-styled centre console in Piano Black, a twin-spoke steering wheel, a wireless charger, a push start/stop button, a 10.25-inch dual screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster, and a rotary knob.
Mahindra BE.05 is expected to get a 60kWh battery pack. It will come with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor as standard to offer a RWD setup. The top-spec model could also receive an AWD setup with a dual-motor setup - one for the front axle and one for the rear. Based on the all-new INGLO Skateboard platform, the Mahindra BE.05 is likely to generate a range of around 400 km.
The homegrown automaker will launch its new BE range next year. Talking about the BE.05 model, it could come on sale in the market by October 2025. Upon launch, it will rival the Tata Curvv EV, and the upcoming Thar EV, XUV 3XO EV, Maruti Suzuki eVX, Honda Elevate EV, and Hyundai Creta EV.
