Nissan may initially import 2,000 X-Trails via CKD route Hybrid setup unlikely to come Rivals may include Toyota Innova Hycross, Skoda Kodiaq
In yet another teaser, Nissan India has teased the interior features of its nearing launch X-Trail. If reports are to be believed, the SUV may be unveiled by next week. The X-Trail nameplate is making its comeback via the CKD route a decade after it was discontinued. Nissan's current stable comprises Magnite SUV only.

Keeping up with current trends, Nissan has equipped the X-Trail with a wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay touchscreen infotainment system, likely 12.3 inches. To the right, it gets a digital driver’s display displaying key information. Wireless charging support was also teased in the seven-seater car. Then comes the inclusion of a panoramic sunroof, putting it on par with rivals.
We expect Nissan to equip the X-Trail with a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine generating 205 bhp and 305 Nm of pull force. Transmission duties will be handled by a CVT unit and all-wheel drive may be offered. Being a CKD, Nissan may avoid bringing the hybrid setup it gets overseas to control costs. The X-Trail may be priced at Rs. 40 lakh, ex-showroom, and rival the likes of Innova Hycross and Skoda Kodiaq on launch.
