Another new sports car arrives in India. Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS has been launched at a starting price of Rs. 2.54 crore (ex-showroom).
Porsche has finally launched the much-awaited 718 Cayman GT4 RS in India with a price tag of Rs. 2.54 crore (ex-showroom). The sports car made its global debut in November 2021 and is the new flagship model of the 718 line-up. It is lighter, packs more punch and offers more agile handling than ever before.
Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Powertrain:
This track-focused version is the most powerful iteration of the 718 range. The mid-engine sports car uses a 3996cc flat-six motor mated to a seven speed PDK gearbox. The four wheeler churns out 493 bhp and 450 Nm of peak torque. The added punch makes the German sports car complete the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.4 seconds while the top speed is rated at 315 kmph.
The German carmaker has used a lighter hood, pull straps in place of door handles, a lighter rear windscreen and more to bring down the weight to 1415 kilograms. Porsche has further retuned the suspension and made the vehicle 33mm lower to help in track driving.
Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Design:
The 718 Cayman GT4 RS looks more aggressive and sharper than its regular counterpart with a massive rear spoiler to help with added downforce. The rear end gets a new diffuser design while the front bumper is slapped with larger air vents.
Interiors of the Cayman GT4 RS remain constant with a few changes made to the flooring and sound insulation material to make the vehicle lighter. The use of Alcantara and carbon fibre is evident in several places making it a sweet combination of sports and luxury.
Porsche India offers four optional extras namely the Weissach package (Rs 32.4 lakh), forged magnesium rims (Rs 30.5 lakhs), paint to sample colour (Rs 20.2 lakh) and the carbon ceramic brake (Rs 16.2 lakh).
The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS competes with its sibling, the 911 GT3 with almost similar price of Rs. 2.49 crore, Lamborghini Huracan and Ferrari F8 Tributo.
MG Hector petrol variants now E20 fuel compatible; 2025 model launched with no price hike, meeting new emission norms and supporting sustainable mobility.
