Tata Sierra base and top variants offer unique features and tech. Both variants share engine options but differ in comfort and safety. Full feature list to be revealed at the launch on 25th November.
Tata Sierra 2025 is making waves with its stylish look and impressive feature list. Recently, Tata revealed a teaser of the SUV’s interior, offering a glimpse of the dual-screen setup that might be exclusive to the mid-spec variant. In comparison, the top-spec Sierra could feature a more advanced triple-screen layout. Here’s a look at what differentiates the mid and top variants of the new Tata Sierra.

The most striking difference between the mid-spec and top-spec variants is the interior display. The mid-spec Tata Sierra comes with a dual-screen setup, which includes an infotainment screen and a driver’s display. This setup gives the cabin a more traditional look, with the driver’s display housed in a binnacle.

On the other hand, the top-spec variant of the Sierra will feature a more futuristic triple-screen layout. This setup adds a third screen for the passenger, providing an advanced, tech-rich experience. The triple-screen version stretches across the dashboard, offering a premium, high-tech feel. This indicates that while the dual-screen setup might be reserved for mid-range variants, the triple-screen configuration will likely be available in the higher trims.
When it comes to comfort and convenience, the top-spec Tata Sierra takes the lead. It comes equipped with premium features like ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a high-end 12-speaker JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos. These luxurious features are expected to be available only in the top variant.
In contrast, the mid-spec Sierra will likely have standard seating, possibly with a simpler sunroof or none at all. The sound system in the mid-spec variant will likely be a standard version, without the advanced JBL setup. Both variants, however, will come with modern conveniences like wireless charging, powered front seats, and automatic climate control.
Safety is a priority for Tata, and both the mid and top-spec variants of the Sierra will come with advanced safety features. Expect six airbags, a powered tailgate, and Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) across all trims. However, the top-spec model will likely include additional tech features like the 360-degree camera system, which provides better visibility and parking assistance. The mid-spec Sierra might have a standard rearview camera or parking sensors instead.

Both the mid and top-spec variants of the Tata Sierra will share the same powertrain options. Under the hood, the SUV will feature a 1.5L turbo-petrol engine producing 168 PS and 280 Nm of torque, as well as a 1.5L diesel engine with 120 PS and 260 Nm of torque. Both engines will be paired with manual and automatic transmission options, ensuring smooth driving across the entire range of variants.
The main differentiator between the Tata Sierra mid-spec and top-spec models lies in the tech and luxury features. While the mid-spec variant will offer a dual-screen setup, standard seating, and a basic sound system, the top-spec model ups the ante with a triple-screen layout, premium sound, and luxurious comfort features like ventilated seats and a panoramic sunroof.
However, Tata is yet to reveal the full list of features for both the lower and top trims. Stay tuned for the official launch of the Tata Sierra on 25th November, where more details will be unveiled.
