Tata Motors is gearing up for the grand return of the legendary Sierra SUV, with its much-awaited launch scheduled for November 25, 2025. After more than two decades, the Sierra is making a comeback, and this time, it will be available in both EV (Electric Vehicle) and ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) versions. While the ICE version launch date is confirmed, the Tata Sierra EV could arrive in the same month or possibly on the same day, making it an even more exciting event for fans.
Tata Motors has teased the Sierra EV with several glimpses, and the latest reveal shows the production version of the electric SUV. The teasers have certainly built up curiosity, and fans are eagerly waiting to see how the electric version of this iconic SUV will compare to the original.

Tata Sierra EV design shares many similarities with its ICE counterpart, staying true to the boxy, rugged aesthetic that made the Sierra famous in the past. One of the Tata Sierra EV exterior details you’ll notice is the upright stance of the SUV, which gives it a commanding presence on the road. The front fascia features a full-width LED DRL that stretches across the bonnet. This gives it a modern and striking look.
Another distinctive feature of the Sierra EV exterior is the closed-off grille with the Tata badge prominently displayed at the center. The headlights, positioned lower on the front bumper, not only improve the SUV’s look but also add to its rugged charm. A silver-finished skid plate is also visible, that boosts its off-road-ready nature.

Looking at the side profile of the Tata Sierra EV, its boxy appeal stands out, especially with the signature glass panel at the rear. This element takes inspiration from the original Sierra, which was known for its large rear glass that provided better visibility. The flush door handles give the vehicle a clean, modern look, while the new alloy wheel design adds a touch of contemporary style to the vehicle’s rugged stance.
While Tata has not yet fully revealed the rear of the SUV, we expect it to feature an upright design similar to the front, along with connected tail lamps that are becoming increasingly popular in modern SUV designs.
With the Sierra EV slated for launch after the ICE version in November 2025, fans are eagerly waiting for more official details about its features and specifications. As of now, we can expect the electric version to offer high-tech features, modern design cues, and an impressive driving range, making it a strong contender in the mid-size electric SUV market.
