Sierra EV sales to begin in Q2, 2026 To get two battery choices
Riding on the success of Nexon and Punch, Tata Motors has sold over 70,000 vehicles in January 2026. In order to boost sales further, Tata is now ready to introduce the much-anticipated Sierra EV in the country. We informed you earlier that the sales of the Tata Sierra EV will begin in Q2, 2026; however, new media reports claim that the electric SUV could be revealed in February 2026.
Tata Motors is yet to make an official announcement on the same, but we expect the Sierra EV reveal could happen in February or March 2026. Its sales will only begin in Q2, 2026. Tata Motors has also started delivering the new Sierra lifestyle SUV, which is available with 3 engine options - a 1.5L NA petrol, a 1.5L turbo petrol and a 1.5L diesel.
The new Tata Sierra EV will be based on the Acti.ev platform that also underpins the Curvv EV. To be positioned between the Curvv EV and the Harrier EV, the electric Sierra will directly rival the Mahindra BE 6 and the Hyundai Creta Electric.
Triple screen dashboard
Dual-zone climate control

The Sierra electric is likely to be offered with two battery choices, including a 55kWh from Curvv.ev and 65kWh from Harrier.ev. It will be a front-wheel-drive SUV, but the top-spec model will have a dual-motor AWD setup. We expect the new electric SUV to offer a realistic range of up to 450km on a single charge.
