Buoyed by a positive response for the Harrier EV, Tata Motors is now gearing up for the launch of the much-awaited Sierra lifestyle SUV. Tata Motors had showcased the near production version of the SUV at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Global Expo. The final production version of the Tata Sierra has recently been showcased at a dealer meet.
The final production model looks largely identical to the pre-production concept showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo. In fact, Tata Motors has started testing the new Sierra lifestyle SUV on the Indian roads. It is also confirmed that the Tata Sierra will come with a triple screen set-up comprising an infotainment unit, a digital driver’s display and front passenger’s entertainment screen.
The Tata Sierra lifestyle SUV will have a 4-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, an auto-dimming IRVM, ambient lighting and others. Key features of the Sierra SUV includes a panoramic sunroof, Head-Up Display (HUD), JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos and ventilated and powered front seats.
The Tata Sierra EV is likely to get 540-degree surround camera view, built-in dash cam, V2L and V2V functionalities with the Sierra EV, and multiple drive modes and terrain models. For safety and security, the new Sierra will come with multiple airbags, LEVEL 2 ADAS tech, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, and others.
The Tata Sierra will mark the debut of the brand’s new 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, naturally-aspirated petrol engine. It will also get a 1.5L, turbocharged petrol engine at a later stage. The diesel version is likely to get either a 2.0L turbo unit or a 1.5L turbo unit.
The Tata Sierra EV is expected to be offered with the same battery choices as the Harrier EV. The battery options could include a 65kWh with a single motor set-up and a 75kWh with both single and dual-motor set-up. The SUV should offer a real world range of up to 500km on a single charge.
