Once again, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Dzire has been spied testing on Indian roads. This time, the subcompact sedan was seen undergoing cold weather testing in the state of Himachal Pradesh. The Next-Gen Maruti Dzire is set to receive significant changes on the outside and the inside alongside some new features.
Let's see what new changes it has to offer for prospective customers.
As depicted in the image, the model will showcase a revamped front fascia, updated grille, modified bumpers, repositioned fog lamps, sleeker LED headlamp clusters, and a wider bonnet. On the side, the revamped Dzire will maintain a largely similar profile. However, it is expected to get a completely new design for the alloy wheels.
Additionally, the presence of cameras mounted on the ORVM suggests the potential addition of a 360-degree surround camera system. An electrically adjustable sunroof is also evident, offering a desirable feature upgrade for this sub-four-meter sedan from the Indian automaker.
Other noteworthy features on the inside could include a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, automatic climate control, and cruise control.
Powering the New Dzire will be Maruti Suzuki's latest Z-series 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. It is expected to generate 82 bhp of power output with 108 Nm of peak torque. Transmission choices would include a manual and an AMT.
The current Maruti Dzire is priced at Rs 6.57 lakh to Rs 9.39 lakh (ex-showroom). For the updated model, we can expect it to fall in the range of Rs 7 lakh to Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom).
Talking about the rivals, Maruti's subcompact sedan will continue to compete with the Tata Tigor (available from Rs 6.30 lakh to Rs 9.55 lakh), Hyundai Aura (priced between Rs 6.49 lakh and Rs 9.05 lakh), and the Honda Amaze (ranging from Rs 7.16 lakh to Rs 9.10 lakh).
