February 2026 is set to bring exciting options for those looking for spacious and premium 7 seater SUVs. Two major models are preparing for launch in India, offering modern features, strong performance and practical three-row seating. The upcoming 7 seater SUV launch lineup includes the MG Majestor and the Volkswagen Tayron R Line, both targeting the premium SUV segment.
MG Majestor will be unveiled in India on February 12, 2026. It will sit above the MG Gloster and will be MG’s flagship SUV. The Majestor gets a strong ladder-frame build and a bold, boxy design with a large grille and vertical LED headlamps. MG is expected to offer it in both 6- and 7-seat layouts, with captain seats in the second row on select variants.
It is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Buyers can expect both 2WD and 4WD options. Inside, the SUV is expected to offer dual 12.3-inch screens, a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS and ventilated front seats. The MG Majestor is expected to be priced between Rs 40 lakh and Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom).
Volkswagen Tayron R Line is also set to launch in India around the same time. Deliveries are expected to start by late February or early March 2026. It is a proper three-row SUV with a 2+3+2 seating layout. Pre-bookings are already open, while prices are expected to be announced by the end of February.
The Tayron R Line will be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox and 4Motion all-wheel drive. It will be locally assembled in India. While the third row is best for kids or short trips, the SUV offers good boot space when the last row is folded. Key features include a large touchscreen, Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof and powered front seats with massage and ventilation.
