2022 Renault Kwid has been launched at a starting price of Rs 4.49 lakhs. New RXL (O) variant has been added to the model line-up.
To celebrate 4 lakh plus customers in the country, Renault India has launched an updated version of the Kwid hatchback. 2022 Renault Kwid price now starts at Rs 4.49 lakhs as it provides a few cosmetic changes. In terms of the pricing, the new hatchback is Rs 25,000 more expensive than its previous edition. Mechanically unchanged, the vehicle also receives a new variant in the form RXL (O) for the both engine options.
Talking about the exterior upgrades, the New Renault Kwid Climber features new colour options that include Metal Mustard & Ice Cool White with Black roof in dual-tone and Moonlight Silver & Zanskar Blue in monotone. In addition to these, one can also find white accents both on the outside and inside of the Climber edition. Plus there are new dual-tone flex wheels thrown into the package.
The interior of the 2022 Renault Kwid does not receive an update with this new introduction. However it does come loaded with features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system offering smartphone connectivity, a digital instrument cluster with tachometer, rear parking sensors, driver-side airbag, ABS with EBD, Creep Function (available only on the AMT trim), engine immobiliser, a speed warning system among others.
Powertrain options continue to include 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines. The former delivers a maximum power output of 54 bhp with 72 Nm of peak torque. While the latter produces 68 bhp with 91 Nm peak torque. Transmission duties are carried out by a 5-speed manual which is standard across both the variants. Plus a 5-speed AMT gearbox is also on the cards for the 1.0-litre petrol trims.
