New Dzire will have a few segment-first features Expected to launch in the latter half of this year Will be powered by Maruti’s new Z-Series, 1.2-litre petrol-engine
New Maruti Suzuki Dzire is set to receive a notable upgrade this year. The subcompact sedan will feature evolutionary styling, an all-new interior with segment-first features, and the brand’s new Z-Series engine. Despite being based on the new Swift, the 2024 Dzire will get more features than the Swift hatchback. The upcoming Dzire is scheduled for launch later this year during the festive season.
From the design perspective, the new Dzire will feature a refreshed look from the outside. It will highlight an updated front grille, LED headlamp clusters, new alloy wheels, and revamped tailgate & tail lamps.
In terms of features, the compact sedan will be loaded with more features than the Swift hatchback. It will come equipped with a few segment-first features such as a 360-degree camera and a single-pane sunroof.
Maruti will replace the current K Series 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with a new Z-Series 1.2-litre 3-cylinder unit. This new engine will produce a maximum power of 82 bhp and 108 Nm of peak torque. The mild hybrid unit will also be available with a DC synchronous motor that boosts the power with 3.1 bhp and 60 Nm of torque.
The launch of the new-gen Dzire is set for the festive season 2024. Price of the subcompact sedan will be slightly higher than the current model which stands at Rs 6.57 lakh (ex-showroom). As for the rivals, the new Dzire will challenge the Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
