The 2025 Kia Seltos will sports an improved design compared to its present avatar. Fresh LED headlamps and distinct vertically-stacked LED DRLs can be anticipated. Design of the front grille and bumpers will catch up with Kia's most current design idiom. The 2nd-gen Seltos will have a combination of tough and sophisticated elements in its appearance. The new vehicle may arrive later this year in global markets.
Kia is gearing up for the introduction of the 2nd generation Seltos, which should be introducing a number of upgrades. The compact SUV market is growing more crowded, and the new Seltos is hoping to deliver more flair, a new powertrain, and improved safety features. The 2025 Kia Seltos was recently seen testing on the roads in South Korea, Kia's domestic market. Let's see what the new Seltos might have in store.

The current Kia Seltos is sporty-looking. The new 2nd-gen model, however, will probably be more sleek-looking. Kia aims to reduce visual noise while sticking to its newest design language that already shows in their newer models. The test vehicle, which was heavily camouflaged, had a body shape that resembled the Kia Telluride, an SUV of bigger proportions. That suggests the new Seltos will borrow from the Telluride but in smaller form.

There are some extreme changes to look out for on the 2025 Seltos from the outside. Perhaps one of the most striking appearance modifications will be appearing at the front. The Seltos will receive some new new LED headlamps and LED DRLs. Those LED DRLs will be vertically-stacked, a quirk already raising eyebrows. The bumper and front grille will also change a bit, providing the SUV with a fresh look. The overall look will consist of robust and refined features, as per Kia's 'Opposites United' design strategy.
The side profile updates will be subtle. The test car had sportier alloy wheels and new wheel arches. But details like the classic door handles, turn indicators in the ORVMs, and roof rails will be retained just like on the current model. At the rear, the new Seltos will have new tail lamps with triangular-shaped elements. The tail lamps will be accompanied by an LED strip, similar to the Kia EV5.
2025 Kia Seltos will be launched with a new petrol-hybrid powerunit. The vehicle will probably be mated with a 1.6-litre petrol engine with a rear-axle-mounted electric motor. The hybrid configuration will offer all-wheel drive, giving better performance and enhanced fuel economy. Hybrid versions will be made available for international markets, but only time will tell if the hybrid variant makes it to India or not.
The new Seltos will also carry over its existing powertrain offerings. The 1.5-litre MPi petrol motor will remain 113.42 bhp and 144 Nm of torque, with a choice of 6-speed manual transmission or IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission). The 1.5-litre turbo petrol motor of 157.81 bhp and 253 Nm will also carry over the choice of 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The 1.5-litre diesel will deliver 114.41 bhp and 250 Nm of torque and will be mated with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed auto box.
Apart from design and powertrain updates, the 2025 Kia Seltos will also include upgraded safety features. Kia will add more driver assistance systems (ADAS) to improve the safety of the vehicle overall. None of these specifics are mentioned, but we expect inclusions like lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.
