Jaguar Land Rover has introduced the 2025 Defender SUV in the Indian market. The new Defender line-up now gets the V8 engine, which was discontinued briefly in 2024. The 2025 Land Rover Defender V8 is now available at a starting price of Rs 1.39 crore (ex-showroom). It is available in three body styles - 90, 110 and 130.
The new V8 engine is offered on two trims - X-Dynamic and X. The SUV is powered by a 5.0-litre, V8 engine that produces 426hp and 610Nm of torque. The 2025 Land Rover Defender is available in three body styles - 90, 110 and 130. As standard, the new Defender V8 SUV rides on 20-inch wheels wrapped with all-terrain tyres.
The 2025 Defender V8 comes with the Terrain Response system and electronic air suspension as standard. The 110 X-Dynamic HSE Trim also gets a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Adding to it, the company is offering a 3.0-litre diesel engine across all three body styles and in three trims - X-Dynamic HSE, X and Sedona Edition.
In terms of features, the 2025 Land Rover Defender gets 14-way electrically adjustable front seats with memory function along with heated and ventilation functionality. Other features include a digital driver's display, configurable ambient lighting, a 360-degree surround view camera, and a panoramic sunroof.
Customers can also opt for extra features such as a Meridian Sound System, refrigerator compartment in a front centre console, and soft close tailgate. Customers can also opt for other packages with features like the Cold Climate, Advanced Off-Road and Family Comfort packs. The new Defender 130 is offered with both 7- and 8-seater layouts in 2+2+3 configuration and 2+3+3 configuration, respectively. The 7-seater model gets middle-row captain seats in the second-row. The captain seats come with ventilation function and winged headrests.
