Land Rover has rolled out a set of fresh updates for its legendary Defender SUV. While not a full facelift, these updates bring noticeable styling changes and feature upgrades across all body styles — the 90, 110, 130, and even the high-performance Defender OCTA.
The updated Defender now sports reworked front and rear bumpers with new surface detailing. Land Rover has introduced a textured pattern on the bonnet inserts and side vents, giving the SUV a more rugged and modern appearance. Redesigned headlights now feature signature graphics, while the tail lamps get a new dark-tinted finish.
A new 22-inch Diamond Turned Dark Grey alloy wheel design adds more character, and buyers can now choose from two new exterior shades — Borasco Grey and Woolstone Green.
Inside, the Defender receives a new 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, enhancing the tech appeal of the cabin. Land Rover has also added practical features such as a deeper stowage area and a sliding section in the centre console. Removable side pockets provide added flexibility for storing small items during trips.
The updated Defender introduces Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control for the first time. This feature helps maintain a steady pace over rough terrain, making off-roading smoother and more controlled. Another key addition is the Driver Attention Monitor, which offers audio and visual alerts to keep the driver focused. Users can manage this feature through the assistance settings menu.
The powerful Defender OCTA now comes with a wider colour palette. New paint options include Borasco Grey and the striking Sargasso Blue, joining existing shades like Charente Grey and Petra Copper. From late 2025, customers can also opt for a unique Patagonia White Matte Wrap, which will also be available on the 5.0-litre V8 Defender variants.
For those looking to enhance both style and performance, chopped carbon fibre accents can now be added to the exterior and interior of the OCTA models.
Land Rover has expanded its accessory lineup for the Defender range. In addition to the Explorer, Adventure, and Urban Packs, new black-themed accessories such as the Expedition Roof Rack, Cross Bars, and Front Undershield are now available. The rear scuff plate also comes in a dark finish option.
The Defender now offers deployable and fixed side-steps to make cabin access easier. The Defender OCTA adds a factory-fitted, 4,500kg-rated winch with a chopped carbon fibre cover. Meanwhile, the long-wheelbase Defender 130 can now be equipped with an integrated air compressor — a handy addition for off-roaders.
