2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder launched with new features The SUV gets new comfort and safety features along with new 6AT gearbox with AWD variant Toyota Hyryder now has 6 airbags as standard
Toyota has launched the upgraded 2025 Urban Cruiser Hyryder which gets new comfort and safety features. The 2025 Toyota Hyryder price in India now starts at Rs 11.34 lakh (ex-showroom) that's an increase of Rs 20,000 from before. It also receive some mechanical upgrades with the addition of a new V variant.
Interior Changes - Toyota has added several new comfort and convenience features in the higher spec variants of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder. It sports an 8-way electrically adjustable driver's seat, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting and rear-door sunshades. The SUV also gets tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) and an AQI (Air Quality Index) monitor. The company has added 15W USB-C charging ports and LED reading lamps as standard offerings.
Safety Features - The upgraded Hyryder now comes with six airbags (Driver, Co-Driver, Front side and curtain) as standard. Adding to it, the automatic variants of the SUV are equipped with an electronic parking brake (EPB). Earlier, the entry-level E and S variants were equipped with only two airbags.
New variant - Toyota has added a new 6-speed automatic gearbox in the AWD V variant. This gearbox replaces the 5-speed manual gearbox, which is still available in the Grand Vitara AWD. We believe that Maruti Suzuki could also opt the new 6-speed AT unit for the Grand Vitara.
Toyota has also added dual-tone exterior colour options in select variants of the Urban Cruiser Hyryder. In terms of features, the 5-seater SUV gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, wireless phone charging, ventilated leather seats, a 360-degree surround view camera, cruise control, head-up display or HUD, reclining rear seats and 60:40 split seat.
The compact SUV is available with two engine options - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine with Suzuki's mild hybrid tech, and a 1.5L, 3-cylinder strong hybrid unit. The former is capable of producing 103bhp and 136.8NM of torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed torque convertor automatic. The 4WD version now gets a 6-speed torque convertor automatic.
The strong hybrid unit comprise of a 92bhp/122Nm, 1.5L, 3-cylinder petrol engine, a 0.76kWh lithium-ion battery pack and an electric motor. The combined power output stands at 116bhp. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via an e-CVT. This model is claimed to offer an ARAI certified mileage of 27.7kmpl.
Bookings for the 2025 Urban Cruiser Hyryder are now open. Customers can book the SUV online or at authorized Toyota dealerships. Adding to it, the Japanese brand is offering 66 exclusive accessories with the Hyryder. Toyota is giving a 3 year/1 lakh km warranty (extendable to 5 years/2.2 lakh km), and an 8-year/1.6 lakh km hybrid battery warranty.
