2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift - 5 Big Changes Expected

Maruti Brezza facelift debuts on July 23. Turbo-petrol engine and feature upgrades are expected. ADAS is likely to be missing from the facelift.

Maruti Suzuki is preparing to introduce the 2026 Brezza facelift on July 23. This will be the first major update for the second-generation compact SUV since its launch in 2022. While the overall design will remain familiar, the facelift is expected to bring several mechanical and feature upgrades.

Here's a look at the five biggest changes expected on the updated Brezza.

1. New Turbo-Petrol Engine

The biggest update could be the addition of Maruti Suzuki's 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine. The same engine is currently available with the Fronx, where it produces 100PS and 147.6Nm of torque.

It is expected to come with a 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox. The existing 1.5-litre Smart Hybrid petrol engine is likely to remain on sale alongside the new turbo option.

2. More Practical CNG Version

Maruti is also expected to improve the Brezza CNG by introducing an underbody-mounted CNG tank.

The current model loses a large part of its boot space because of the CNG cylinder. With the new setup, buyers can expect much better luggage space, making the CNG version more practical for family use.

3. Updated Exterior Styling

The facelift is not expected to get a complete redesign, but a few styling updates are likely.

These could include revised LED lighting elements, updated front and rear bumpers, new tail lamps, fresh alloy wheel designs and a few new exterior colour options. The changes are expected to give the SUV a fresher look without changing its overall shape.

4. New Features Inside

The cabin is also expected to receive a few updates.

Maruti could equip the Brezza with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the current unit. Other expected additions include ventilated front seats, a powered driver's seat, ambient lighting and new interior colour themes.

These updates could make the Brezza feel more premium than before.

5. ADAS May Still Be Missing

One feature that is unlikely to arrive with the facelift is ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

While there were earlier reports suggesting the Brezza could get ADAS, sources now indicate that Maruti will skip it for this update. Instead, the company appears to be focusing on improving the engine options, features and practicality.

Launch And Rivals

The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is set to debut on July 23. It will continue to compete with the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Skoda Kylaq and Toyota Taisor.
