2026 Maruti Brezza facelift may get 1.0L Boosterjet turbo engine Facelift expected to bring updated styling, ADAS, and tech features Turbo Brezza could rival Venue, Sonet, Kiger, and Magnite
The 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift is already creating buzz, and the biggest question on everyone’s mind is whether it will come with a turbo engine. Fresh test mule sightings hint that Maruti Suzuki could be preparing a smaller, turbocharged powertrain for the refreshed Brezza.
Currently, the Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre K15C NA petrol engine, paired with a five-speed manual or a six-speed torque converter automatic. While this engine is reliable, it doesn’t allow the Brezza to qualify for the sub-four-metre SUV lower tax benefits. A turbo-petrol engine could change that and make the Brezza even more competitive.

Reports suggest the 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, currently offered in the Maruti Fronx, could be the most probable choice. This engine is compact, fuel-efficient, and popular with buyers who want more punch from a small SUV.
A 1.2-litre NA petrol engine is less likely, as it doesn’t pair with the six-speed manual gearbox that recent Brezza test mules have been spotted with. Adding a turbo option would also help the Brezza compete with rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Skoda Kiyaq.
The 2026 Brezza facelift is expected to bring small but meaningful design changes. The front and rear bumpers are likely to be revised, the grille could be tweaked, and the fog light clusters repositioned. Spy images also hint at a front bumper ADAS sensor, suggesting that the facelift may include some driver-assistance features.
While the updates are not dramatic, they will give the Brezza a slightly fresher, more modern look, helping it stand out in the crowded sub-four-metre SUV segment.
Alongside the possible turbo engine, Maruti could introduce new safety and tech features in the facelifted Brezza. These might include ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems), connected car features, and updated infotainment.
A turbo-petrol Brezza could offer better acceleration, improved fuel efficiency, and the tax benefits of a sub-four-metre SUV. Combined with subtle styling tweaks and updated tech, the 2026 Brezza facelift could become one of Maruti’s most compelling subcompact SUVs in years.
While Maruti hasn’t officially confirmed the turbo engine or the exact launch date, the ongoing tests suggest that the facelifted Brezza could arrive within the next year. Buyers can expect a modern, efficient, and slightly more powerful Brezza that competes strongly against its rivals.
