Audi India has unveiled the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback in the country. Both SUV and the coupe variants made their debut last year globally. Now, the company is expected to launch the new models by August this year.
The vehicle that you see here in the images is the facelifted version of the Audi Q8 e-tron, the German automaker's first electric SUV. Up front, it gets a redesigned grill with a new mesh and the brand's new monochrome logo. Further, the surrounds of the grille have been blacked out and now extend beneath the headlights. There is also a light bar that projects light downwards to make the front look really attractive at night. Other changes include a reprofiled bumper with larger air intakes, 20-inch alloy wheels and a Q8 badge on the tailgate.
The interior layout of the Q8 e-tron Facelift remains pretty much the same as the outgoing model. In regards to features, not much is known about the upgrades since it is a reveal. But for the moment we can say that it will offer a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, powered front seats with memory functions (ventilation, massage, and heating) Virtual Cockpit Plus, and an 8.6-inch touchscreen for controlling the car's functions such as HVAC. A panoramic sunroof, 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, a 360-degree camera, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and four-zone climate control will also be provided.
Like before, Audi Q8 e-tron Facelift will come powered by a 114 kWh battery pack having a range of up to 600 kms (WLTP cycle). It will send power to two electric motors which would deliver 408 bhp and 664 Nm of peak torque (combined). Audi will also be offering a 22 kW AC charger which would support up to 170 kW DC fast charging. The vehicle can charge from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes. The automaker will also continue to provide a charging port on either side of the vehicle.
Audi India is expected to launch its Q8 e-tron in the coming weeks. Jaguar I-Pace will be the main rival for both Audi Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback.
