BMW iX3 Neue Klasse global debut set for September 2025 New Gen6 platform promises 900 km range and 10-min fast charge India launch in 2026 with prices expected between Rs 60-75 lakh
BMW has officially confirmed that the new BMW iX3 will be revealed on September 5, 2025. Based on the futuristic Vision Neue Klasse X concept, the BMW iX3 Neue Klasse will be the first SUV under the brand’s all-new BMW Neue Klasse 2025 lineup.
Here are the eight biggest highlights of the upcoming ix3 2025 you need to know.
BMW Neue Klasse iX3 holds the distinction of being the first production SUV in the Neue Klasse BMW range. Unlike the current iX3, which is based on the CLAR platform, the new ix3 is a purpose-built electric SUV, designed from the ground up.

The upcoming ix3 neue klasse will be underpinned by BMW’s advanced Gen6 EV platform. This new architecture is designed for improved efficiency and reduced costs. It supports 800V charging and features batteries that are 20 percent more energy-dense than those used in the current generation.
BMW has not yet revealed the final battery details of the BMW iX3 2025, but test mules have already showcased remarkable numbers. Reports suggest the SUV could deliver up to 900 km on the CLTC cycle and around 800 km on the WLTP cycle. These figures place the neue klasse iX3 among the longest-range electric SUVs on the market.
The new BMW iX3 will take charging technology to the next level. Early data indicates that the SUV can achieve a 350 km top-up in just 10 minutes. This is a massive improvement over the outgoing model, which could only manage a 100 km top-up in the same time.
Design for the BMW iX3 Neue Klasse will closely follow the cues of the Vision Neue Klasse X concept. Expect an illuminated kidney grille, slim LED daytime running lamps, flush-fitting door handles, and a cleaner, smoother side profile. The SUV is also reported to be slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, giving it a more commanding presence on the road.
The global BMW iX3 launch is set for September 2025. For the Indian market, the SUV is expected to arrive by early 2026, with bookings likely to begin by late 2025. Production for India will take place at BMW’s Chennai plant, aligning with the brand’s local EV strategy.
The new ix3 is expected to carry an estimated ex-showroom price between Rs 60 lakh and Rs 75 lakh in India. This pricing will place the BMW Neue Klasse iX3 directly in competition with premium rivals like the Audi Q6 e-tron and the Mercedes GLC EV.
BMW iX3 Neue Klasse 2025 will face stiff competition in the luxury EV space. Its main rivals will include the Audi Q6 e-tron and the Mercedes GLC EV, along with upcoming electric SUVs from brands like Jaguar and Lexus. However, with its futuristic design, advanced platform, and massive range, the ix3 neue klasse has the potential to stand out.
