BMW India has just launched the facelifted Z4 roadster at Rs 89.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The update sees the convertible getting a few subtle exterior updates along with added features.
The exterior design of the BMW Z4 remains largely similar to the previous model. At the front, the new model is provided with a blacked-out honeycomb grille and redesigned triangular air intakes. The side and rear profile of the roadster stay the same except for the new 19-inch alloy wheels and a soft-top roof that can be folded away in just 10 seconds.
Moving inside, the new Z4 gets new trim and upholstery. The M40i now gets a blend of leather and Alcantara with contrast blue stitching and piping. It also gets an M Sport steering wheel and seats showcasing the roadster's sporty intent.
In terms of features, the new BMW Z4 comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, connected car tech, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting, wireless charging and more.
Optional equipment on the new model includes active headlamps, audio setup by Harman Kardon, adaptive cruise control, HUD, parking assistant and an anthracite silver finish for the roof.

Powering the facelifted Z4 M40i is the same 3.0-litre, in-line six turbo-petrol motor as the outgoing model. The motor pumps out 340 bhp and 500 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are handled by an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The Z4 M40i also gets a sportier M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, and an M Sport differential.
As mentioned above, the new Z4 is priced at Rs 89.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This is an increase of Rs 4.40 lakh from the previous model. BMW says the deliveries of the facelifted roadster will commence from June onwards.
In India, the BMW Z4 directly rivals the Porsche 718 Boxster. However, the latter is over Rs 60 lakh more expensive at Rs 1.52 crore (ex-showroom).
