Third price hike in 1 year Recently introduced Turbo variant offers added features Rivals the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Swift
Citroen India recently announced a price hike of up to Rs 17,500 for the C3, coming into effect from July 1. This is the third price hike since the hatchback was launched in the country last year. However, the French automaker is yet to reveal the exact variant-wise pricing.

The C3 is available in three variants namely Live, Feel and Shine. With the upcoming price hike, the entry-level Live trim will be priced at Rs 6.32 lakh (ex-showroom). This is an increase of over Rs 50,000 from its launch price of Rs 5.71 lakh (ex-showroom). The top-of-the-line Shine DT Turbo variant is now going to be priced at Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
The automaker recently introduced the C3 Turbo variant, which adds a number of features that were missing in the lower trims. The hatchback for instance now gets a 10.2-inch infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear parking camera, electrically adjustable ORVMs, rear wiper and washer, among others.
The brand offers two powertrain options with the C3. This includes a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 82 bhp with 115 Nm of peak torque. While the new turbo-petrol unit happens to be a 1.2-litre unit that is capable of delivering 110 bhp and 190 Nm torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed and a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The car rivals the likes of the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS (Rs 5.73 lakh - Rs 8.51 lakh, ex-showroom), Maruti Swift (Rs 5.99 lakh - Rs 9.03 lakh, ex-showroom), Tata Punch (Rs 6 lakh - Rs 9.52 lakh, ex-showroom), and the Maruti Ignis (Rs 5.84 lakh - Rs 8.16 lakh, ex-showroom).
