Citroen India is preparing to launch its first fully electric offering in the country named eC3. Similar to its ICE version, the electric iteration of the hatchback will be offered in two variants; the base spec 'Live' and the top-spec 'Feel'. The new electric hatchback is slated to launch later this month. Though the bookings had already started for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Ahead of its price announcement, let's find out what each variant of the Citroen eC3 has to offer for the customers in terms of design, powertrain options, features, and more.

The base variant of Citroen eC3, Live is the basic one as entry-level C3. The variant does not offer any side cladding or an audio system. However, it offers the safety features provided on the top-spec variant.

From the outside, the electric hatchback gets halogen headlamps, fender-mounted turn indicators, body-coloured bumpers, a roof antenna, and 15-inch steel wheels with full-wheel covers. Moving on to the interior, the eC3 is provided with an all-black cabin theme and fabric seats. A digital instrument cluster with range and battery indicators is also available in the base variant.

As far as features are concerned, the Live variant of the New Citroen eC3 offers front power windows with one-touch down functionality, internally adjustable side mirrors, a 12V front power socket, and a manual air conditioning system with a heater. Further, the My Citroen Connect with C-Buddy smartphone app is also integrated.
In terms of safety features, the base variant is equipped with dual front airbags, reverse parking sensors, ABS and EBD, a high-speed alert system, and a seatbelt reminder.
The top-spec eC3 namely Feel is equipped with more advanced features including the equipment provided in the base variant. Talking about the exterior, the car features a chrome-finished front panel, LED DRLs, body-coloured door handles, satin chrome accents all around, optional fog lamps with vibe pack, wheel arch cladding, glossy black roof rails (standard) and dual-tone roof as optional.
On the inside, the hatchback provides gray and orange shade on the dashboard. Besides, there is a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, remote keyless entry, four speakers, steering-mounted control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, height adjustable driver seat, and more. The four-wheeler also offers two rear fast-charging USB shockest and a rear parcel shelf. Further, speed-sensitive auto door-lock and door-ajar warning are also provided in the hatchback’s top-spec variant.
The electric hatchback is offered in two variants but its dimensions and powertrain options are the same for both trims. Citroen offers its eC3 model with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, coupled to a front-axle-mounted electric motor. Together they are said to generate a power output of 56 bhp with 143 Nm of peak torque. Besides, the car can sprint from 0 to 60 kmph in just 6.8 seconds.
Alongside these, the eC3 offers two driving modes; Eco and Standard. It is said to have a claimed range of up to 320 kms on a single charge. In terms of dimensions, the New Citroen eC3 measures the same as its ICE version; 3981 mm in length, 1733 in width, and 1604 m in height.
The electric version of Citroen C3 had already announced the booking from 22 January onwards. The expected price of the hatchback could be around Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata Tiago EV will be its direct rival priced between Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom).
