Ferrari’s first electric vehicle will be unveiled on October 9, 2025. A new plug-in hybrid model likely to replace the SF90 Stradale. Speculations hint at a new Purosangue variant with a hybrid V8.
Ferrari is making a hell lot of money! The Italian high-performance OEM earned $1.8 billion in the fourth quarter of 2024, which is nearly 14 percent higher than its corresponding duration in 2023. Now, the company has even bigger plans for this year.
Speaking at Ferrari’s 2024 financial results, Benedetto Vigna, Ferrari’s CEO, has confirmed that there are six new models in the pipeline, set to arrive over the course of 2025. However, he remained tight-lipped about the upcoming products.
One of the upcoming Ferrari cars will be the brand’s first electric vehicle (EV), salted to make its global debut on 9th October, 2025. Less is known about the upcoming Ferrari EV. Though, it has been confirmed that Ferrari’s new E-building in the Maranello premises will serve as production hub for the EV. This facility has been designed to maximize “production flexibility” for the brand’s supercars.
The Italian performance car manufacturer said that the high-voltage batteries, electric motors and axles – “strategic electric components thar are highly relevant to differentiating Ferrari’s technology and performance” - will be assembled at its new E-building. Here, ‘E’ denotes “energy, evolution and environment.” The new Ferrari EV will undergo production in 2026.
Benedetto Vigna said that the prototypes of the EV are already on the roads undergoing extensive testing. However, the leaked patent suggest that the model could be two-seater, four-wheel drive vehicle.
As for the other five upcoming Ferraris, these models could be a replacement of the SF90 Stradale (which was phased out last year) with plug-in-hybrid powertrain, 296 VS (Versione Speciale) and the convertible versions of the SF90 Stradale and 296. The fifth model is still a mystery to us. Speculations suggest that Ferrari might introduce a new variant of the Purosangue with a plug-in-hybrid V-8 powertrain.
Furthermore, the Italian high-performance carmaker is developing a new model, a successor to the Roma coupe. Similar to the Icona series, Ferrari might also introduce the limited production vehicles such as the Monza SP1/SP2 and Daytona SP3.
More information on the upcoming Ferrari EV and upcoming Ferrari supercars is likely to be revealed in coming months. For all latest updates, stay tuned to CarLelo.
