Honda Cars has just launched the new City Elegant and Amaze Elite Editions in India for the 2023 festive season. The limited edition models get subtle styling differences outside and add a few new features. The company says it has bundled an enhanced premium package on both the Honda City and Honda Amaze. We take a closer look.
The new Honda City Elegant Edition is based on the mid-spec V trim. On the outside, it gets multiple Elegant Edition badges, front fender garnish and a bootlid spoiler with integrated LEDs. The limited edition also gets feature additions inside like legroom lamps, Elegant illuminated step, Elegant Edition seat covers, and a wireless charger.
Meanwhile, the Honda Amaze Elite Edition is based on the top VX petrol trim. It gets Elite Edition badges, a new front fender garnish, tyre inflator, anti-fog film on the ORVMs, and a bootlid spoiler with LED lights integrated. Moving inside, Honda has added a few new features like Elite Edition seat covers and illuminated step, TPMS with readout on the Honda Connect App, and an adjustable front armrest.
Both the City Elegant and Amaze Elite Editions are powered by the same powertrains as the regular models. The City gets a 1.5-litre N/A petrol engine that makes 119 bhp with 145 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.
Powering the Amaze is a 1.2-litre N/A petrol motor that pumps out 88 bhp with 110 Nm of max torque. Transmission choices include a 5-speed petrol or a CVT automatic gearbox.
Prices for the Honda City Elegant Edition start from Rs 12.57 lakh (ex-showroom) for the manual variant, going up to Rs 13.82 lakh (ex-showroom) for the automatic model.
